Traffic Sense OR Traffic Non-Sense OR Traffic Sensex.......what should we call the traffic culture in our City? Its something extremely unpredictable. People suddenly take a slant zoom and they are in 3rd lane directly from lane 1, completely ignoring the fact that their traffic nonsense could have endangered someone else's life. Another funny situation....traffic cops runs and tries to snatch the ignition key of an earring biker and the biker tries to resist and is sometimes successful running away giggling all the way at the cop..........what is this dear? A cop is law enforcer and you gotta have minimum respect for the machinery called law. It’s a high time to get out of the prevalent "Light Le lo" attitude and behave like a responsible and law-abiding citizens. Our "happy-go-lucky" kind of life is not going to help anyone, not even to self.
Another menace....born to be a perpetual nuisance.....our evergreen Auto rickshaw drivers. I am always forced to believe that Nizam has gifted the entire Hyderabad's road to them for their personal use. No care for rules, no care for ethics...just keep zooming on the road like a snake...absolutely oblivious about the world existing outside his rickshaw. C'mon...its a high time they should be trained to behave on road. It’s a long way to lo for us to have a problem free traffic system...until we are getting responsible.
We need to care for our and other's life. We are happy not to wear helmets and we have 100s of excuses to defend the decision. We forget it so easily that its for our won safety. Had we been caring enough, we would have thought of our family, the people who love us and care for us. The other day I was reading an article which mentioned that Indian Insurance companies are bleeding as they have to shell out around Rs. 4000 crores as claims for road accidents. Forget about the bleeding Insurance companies, just think about the how much the person who died must have bled, how much his family would be bleeding entire life after he/she is gone. It’s the time when we should wake up and start to believe that its one world and one life for us and for everyone.

Let’s make it beautiful and safe. By abiding to the traffic rules we might be late in reaching office by 5 minutes but I can be sure that my family would see me at home every evening. Let’s not drive rash and reckless. Let’s follow traffic rules and force others also to follow them. Let’s make our roads safer and our families happier. Bury the "light lo" culture forever.
We would welcome your comments and suggestion to make our beloved Hyderabad perfect on road.
